Our custom-designed work areas provide
task and age-appropriate separation and are
equipped with modern and functional
furnishings. We overlook the West Vancouver
seawall with views to Stanley Park and UBC.




Janet grew up in an educators home, her mother and father were both teachers and her father was the assistant superintendent of schools in East area of Vancouver. Janet holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Victoria. For the past 25 years, Janet has had a successful sales career in Information Technology, most recently in Enterprise Sales at Microsoft. Janet lives in West Vancouver with her husband James and two boys, Teddy and Max. As the parent of a child with a language based learning difference, Janet is continually navigating through the school system as his advocate in his learning journey. Janet is passionate about enabling children and parents to understand that success can be achieved through the right educational support, tools and community education.

Geraldine is a successful entrepreneur with a 25 year career in Marketing and Business Development. Most recently, she co-founded, operated and eventually sold Haute Note Design. A self-starter, Geraldine is motivated by challenge and a love of building and bringing a brand to life. After experiencing first hand the difficult journey friends faced as they attempted to find answers and options for kids with learning differences, Geraldine saw HomeRoom as a way to get involved and be part of a solution. She is passionate about creating a unique educational offering in our community as well as building awareness and a positive dialogue around learning opportunities for kids. Geraldine is a long time resident of the North Shore, where she lives with her husband Steve and two kids Emeline and Lukas.

Lisa specializes in Student and Parent Consulting/Educational Support 

Lisa’s passion and commitment to supporting kids and their families has spanned 25 years. She is experienced as both a classroom and Learning Services Teacher but the focus of her career and expertise has been as a District School Counsellor in BC’s public school system. Lisa works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and students in planning support, implementing programs, and assessment of students struggling with various barriers to academic progress. She is able to teach, advise and consult with parents on IEP’s, Functional Behaviour Assessment, report cards, the Psycho-Educational Assessment, Ministry of Education Special Needs Identification, Positive Behaviour Support Plans, and Social/Emotional Learning. Lisa lives in Deep Cove with her husband and 5 children.

Heather specializes in PreK, Primary & ELL Education

Heather has a love for the teaching profession that has spanned 20 years and seen her work in a variety of teaching capacities. She began her teaching career working in the private system in Thailand and Hong Kong developing English Language Curriculum and teaching at the Kindergarten and Primary levels.  She continued her career as an Academic Counsellor and ESL teacher at a private college here in the Lower Mainland before returning to her original roots in public education. Over the years Heather has been a coach, a Brownie leader, preschool assistant and teacher mentor. She is currently working as a primary teacher on the North Shore.  Heather lives in Lions Bay with her husband and two children.
